Space Sheriff Gavan (宇宙刑事ギャバン, Uchū Keiji Gyaban) is a Japanese Tokusatsu series produced by Toei Company that aired on TV Asahi from March 5, 1982, to February 25, 1983. The series launched the Metal Hero franchise and was the first installment in the Space Sheriff series.
For distribution purposes, Toei refers to this television series as Space Cop Gabin.
The hero's name is a tribute to French actor Jean Gabin.
