Stephen McArthur is a British engineer and educator, specialising in AI, data science, and decision support for energy systems and smart grids. He currently serves as Associate Principal and Executive Dean of Engineering of the University of Strathclyde. In September 2025, he will succeed Professor Sir Jim McDonald as principal and vice-chancellor of the University of Strathclyde.
