Steve McCarthy (born February 3, 1981) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. McCarthy played in the National Hockey League with the Chicago Blackhawks, Vancouver Canucks and the Atlanta Thrashers. He is currently an assistant coach for the Columbus Blue Jackets since the 2021-2022 NHL season.
