"Carcinoma Blues" was written by Guy Clark and Sam Bush. "Hand Mics Killed Country Music" features Bush and Emmylou Harris. Bush and Harris co-wrote the song. "Transcendental Meditation Blues" was co-written with long time collaborator Jeff Black.
