Sunbury railway station is a commuter, regional railway station and the terminus of the suburban Sunbury line. It is also a station of the regional Deniliquin line. It opened on 10 February 1859, with the current station being provided in 2012.

The station is also served by V/Line services to Bendigo and Echuca. The disused Rupertswood station is located between Sunbury and Clarkefield.
