Sursky District (Russian: Су́рский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,688 square kilometers (652 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Surskoye. Population: 19,430 (2010 Census); 22,644 (2002 Census); 25,932 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Surskoye accounts for 35.3% of the district's total population.
