Szczaniec [ˈʂt͡ʂaɲɛt͡s] is a village in Świebodzin County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Szczaniec. It lies approximately 11 km (7 mi) east of Świebodzin, 39 km (24 mi) north of Zielona Góra, and 60 km (37 mi) south-east of Gorzów Wielkopolski.
During World War II, in 1940–1941, Nazi Germany operated a forced labour camp for Jewish men in the village.
