TVer is a Japanese ad-supported video on demand (AVOD) service that was launched in October 2015. It is jointly operated by Nippon TV, TV Asahi, TBS Television, TV Tokyo, Fuji Television, and other broadcasters. The platform offers free internet streaming of television programs after they have aired, typically making episodes available for about one week following their original broadcast, until the next episode airs. Similar to traditional television, advertisements are shown during the programs. As of October 2020, TVer provides content from 115 stations across Japan, and as of 2023, it offers access to approximately 650 programs.
