Taji or Al-Taji (Arabic: التاجي) is a rural town around 30 kilometers (18 mi) north of the city of Baghdad, within Baghdad Governorate and Salah ad Din Governorate.

Taji has about 200,000 inhabitants. Many are Sunni Arab Muslims who work in the farming and agriculture sector.

The area of Taji district is 388 square kilometers, equivalent to 155,200 dunums, and its borders are the Tigris River to the east, Tarmiyah district to the north, Anbar Governorate to the west, and the center of Kadhimiya district and Dhat al-Salasil district to the south.
