Taken 3 (sometimes stylized as TAK3N) is a 2015 English-language action-thriller film that is the third and final film in the Taken trilogy, starring Liam Neeson as a former government operative. The French production was directed by Olivier Megaton and written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. The cast also includes Forest Whitaker, Maggie Grace, and Famke Janssen. Mills (Neeson) is falsely accused of murder and gets tracked by a police inspector (Whitaker) and uses his skill set to prove his innocence and find the real murderer.
20th Century Fox released the film in theaters in the United States and Canada on 9 January 2015, while EuropaCorp Distribution released it in theaters in France on 21 January 2015. Taken 3 grossed $326 million in theaters worldwide. It received generally unfavorable reviews from critics. They found that the film was hindered by uninspired action scenes, unclear direction, and a formulaic storyline and the franchise had run its course.
