Tapawera is a small township in the Tasman District of New Zealand's South Island. It is located 76 km (47 miles) southwest of Nelson and 48 km (30 miles) southeast of Motueka. It is situated on the Motueka Valley Highway (formerly SH 61) by the banks of the Motueka River.
