Temba Bavuma (born 17 May 1990) is a South African international cricketer who is the current captain of the South African cricket team in Tests and ODI cricket, and formerly captained in T20I. He is a right-handed middle-order batter. He was the first black African cricketer to make a Test century for South Africa and the first to captain the side. Bavuma is one of three South African cricketers to score a century on ODI debut, scoring 113 runs against Ireland in September 2016. Under his captaincy, South Africa won the 2025 World Test Championship final, their first ICC tournament win in 27 years.
