The Seventh Companion (Russian: Седьмой спутник, romanized: Sed'moy sputnik) is a 1967 Soviet drama film set in Petrograd in the years following the Russian Revolution. The film marked the directorial debut of Russian director Aleksei German, who co-directed it with Grigori Aronov. The film is based on a novel by Boris Lavrenyov.
