Tunes is a village in the civil parish of Algoz e Tunes, in the municipality of Silves, in Algarve region, Portugal. It was the seat of its own civil parish until 2013 when the parish of Tunes merged into the new parish of Algoz e Tunes. In 2001 there were 2002 inhabitants, in an area of approximately 12.13 square kilometres (4.68 sq mi): there were 167 residents per kilometre square. Tunes is an important railway hub in southern Portugal.
