Uryupinsky District (Russian: Урю́пинский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the thirty-three in Volgograd Oblast, Russia. As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Uryupinsky Municipal District. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,460 square kilometers (1,340 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Uryupinsk (which is not administratively a part of the district). Population: 28,775 (2010 Census); 30,615 (2002 Census); 33,266 (1989 Soviet census).
