Vítězslav Hálek (also known as Vincenc Hálek; Czech pronunciation: [ˈviːcɛslaf ˈɦaːlɛk]; 5 April 1835 – 8 October 1874) was a Czech poet, writer, journalist and dramatist. He was known for his optimistic work, which earned him fame and recognition during his lifetime.
