Vaikom Narayani Janaki (30 November 1923 – 19 May 1996), also known as Janaki Ramachandran, was an Indian actress, politician, and philanthropist who served as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu in 1988 for 23 days after the death of her husband, the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu M. G. Ramachandran (M.G.R.). She was the first woman to become the chief minister in Tamil Nadu. She was also the first actress to become the chief minister in the history of the Republic of India.
