Vasile Bolea

Vasile Bolea (born 27 October 1982) is a Moldovan politician, jurist and former rugby player, who has been a deputy in the Parliament of Moldova since November 2014, elected on the list of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM). Since 2019, he has been the chairman of the Legal, Appointments and Immunities Committee of the Parliament and is the secretary of the PSRM faction in the Parliament.

Before getting involved in politics, Vasile Bolea was a professional rugby player. Throughout his sports career, he played as a right-back, left-back, and also in the second line. He also played rugby sevens, being a starter in the Moldovan team that achieved its greatest international performance – the bronze medal at the 2007 European Championship.
