Vladimir-Suzdal school (art)

The Vladimir-Suzdal school (Russian: Владимиро-суздальская школа) is one of the historical-regional schools in ancient Russian art, which developed in north-eastern Kievan Rus' in the 12th-14th centuries. It is known for its achievements in stone architecture, white-stone carving, icon painting and fresco. The White Monuments of Vladimir and Suzdal were included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 1992.
