Vodňany (Czech pronunciation: [ˈvodɲanɪ] ⓘ; German: Wodnian) is a town in Strakonice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 7,400 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone. The village of Křtětice within Vodňany is protected as a village monument zone.
