Volzhsky District (Russian: Во́лжский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Samara Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,481 square kilometers (958 sq mi). Its administrative center is the city of Samara (which is not administratively a part of the district). Population: 83,377 (2010 Census); 77,621 (2002 Census); 64,974 (1989 Soviet census).
