Vrchlabí (Czech pronunciation: [ˈvr̩xlabiː]; German: Hohenelbe, Latin: Albipolis) is a town in Trutnov District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 12,000 inhabitants. It lies at the foot of the Giant Mountains on the river Elbe. The town centre with the castle complex, monastery complex and town park is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone.
