Wantagh (/ˈwɒntɔː/ won-TAW) is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, New York, United States. The population was 18,613 at the time of the 2020 census.
Wantagh is known as "The Gateway to Jones Beach".
