The Wesenitz (German pronunciation: [ˈveːzənɪts]; Upper Sorbian: Wjazońca) is a river in Saxony, Germany, a right tributary of the Elbe. Its total length is 83 km (52 mi). The Wesenitz runs through the tourist regions of the Lusatian Highlands and Saxon Switzerland. Its name is derived from the Sorbian language wjaz (Elm).
