Willy Rodriguez (stylized as WillyRodriguezWasTaken) was an American/Canadian indie rock band formed over Discord in 2021.

While Willy focused on vocals and guitar, Star composed most of the instrumentals playing/recording; Guitar, bass, drums, acoustic piano, reed organ, keyboard, violin, glockenspiel, ukulele, orchestral arrangements, shaker, melodica, body slaps, and toy piano.

In 2023, the band announced over their now deleted Instagram page, that they would break up over personal and creative differences. Despite their breakup, the bands final album wetdream would still be completed and released on Christmas Day 2023. The album was the bands most successful project receiving acclaim.
