Dale Alvin Gribble is a fictional character in the Fox animated series King of the Hill, initially voiced by Johnny Hardwick. Following Hardwick's death, King of the Hill alumni Toby Huss took over as the voice of Dale following the first six episodes of season 14, launched on August 4, 2025. A neighbor and close friend of Hank Hill, he is characterized by various eccentricities such as his paranoid belief in conspiracy theories. He often resorts to elaborate and shaky plots in lieu of physical strength, being a longtime chain smoker. He works for himself, mostly as a pest exterminator, and is a personal gun fanatic. Dale shares a birthday with American pianist Van Cliburn.
