Aleksandr Terentyevich Matveyev (Russian: Александр Терентьевич Матвеев; 25 August 1878 – 22 October 1960) was one of the leading Russian sculptors of his generation, working in a simple, vigorous, modern classical style similar to Aristide Maillol of France. He was one of the members of the art association ‘The Four Arts’, which existed in Moscow and Leningrad in 1924-1931.
