The Battle of Kizil-tepe (Turkish: Kızıltepe Muharebesi) was fought on August 25, 1877, between the Russian Empire and the Ottoman Empire. The Russian were attempting to besiege Kars. The Ottomans, vastly superior in numbers, successfully lifted the siege.
