Eulipotyphla (/ˌjuːlɪpoʊˈtɪflə/, from eu- + Lipotyphla, meaning truly lacking blind gut; sometimes called true insectivores) is an order of mammals comprising the Erinaceidae (hedgehogs and gymnures); Solenodontidae (solenodons); Talpidae (moles, shrew-like moles and desmans); and Soricidae (true shrews) families.
