Grey wolf (mythology)

Grey wolf (Old Turkic: Böri) is a sacred animal and national symbol in Turkic, Mongolian, and Altaic mythology. In Turkish it is known as Bozkurt (Boskord, Pusgurt, Gökkurt, Gökbörü, Kökbörü). In Mongolian it is called Börteçine (Börteşına, Börtöşono).
