The Operation ISA was the first operation carried out by the Peruvian Special Intelligence Group (GEIN) against the terrorist organization Communist Party of Peru–Shining Path. In this operation, the Department of Organizational Support (DAO) and the Partisan Support Group (GAP), two central apparatuses of the terrorist organization, were dismantled.
