Serpukhovsky District (Russian: Серпухо́вский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-six in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,012.714 square kilometers (391.011 sq mi). Its administrative center is the city of Serpukhov (which is not administratively a part of the district). Population: 35,173 (2010 Census); 34,565 (2002 Census); 67,425 (1989 Soviet census).
