The Strait of Belle Isle (/bɛl ˈaɪl/ bel EYEL; French: Détroit de Belle Isle [detʁwa d(ə) bɛl il]) is a waterway in eastern Canada, that separates Labrador from the island of Newfoundland, in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
