Sunshine Policy

The Reconciliation and Cooperation Policy Towards the North (Korean: 대북화해협력정책), colloquially referred to as Sunshine Policy (햇볕정책) is one of the approaches for South Korea's foreign policy towards North Korea, lasting from 1998 to 2008 and again from 2017 to 2020.
