The 2025 Buffalo mayoral election will be held on November 4, 2025, to elect the mayor of Buffalo, New York.
Incumbent Democratic acting mayor Christopher Scanlon is running for a full term in office after succeeding longtime mayor Byron Brown, who resigned to become CEO of Western Regional Off-Track Betting.
Primary elections for the Democratic Party are scheduled to be held on June 24, 2025, with the early voting period beginning on June 14. The Republican Party will not hold a primary election, having endorsed James Gardner as their nominee.
