The Battle of Oramar or Oramar Expedition, was a battle that took place in the summer of 1917 between the Assyrians of Agha Petros and the Kurds of Soto Agha, where the Assyrians defeated Soto and captured Oramar. The Assyrian forces initiated the attack with the goal of capturing Soto Agha and neutralizing his stronghold, which stood as a threat for Assyrian villages in the area.
