The immigration policy of the second Trump administration encompasses the established immigration policies implemented by U.S. President Donald Trump during his second term.
On January 20, 2025, Donald Trump was inaugurated as president of the United States for a second term. That evening, he signed several executive orders related to immigration, including blocking asylum seekers from entering the U.S., declaring a national emergency at the Mexico–U.S. border, and citing a public health risk posed by migrants through a lack of "comprehensive health information". Since then, he has also signed an act into law and has proposed other changes to the immigration system.
Trump, who campaigned on stricter immigration laws, oversaw a sharp decrease in border crossings when he took office.
