The Parliament of Pakistan is the supreme legislative body of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It is a bicameral federal legislature, composed of the President of Pakistan and two houses: the Senate and the National Assembly. The president, as head of the legislature, has the power to summon or prorogue either house of the Parliament. The president can dissolve the National Assembly only on the Prime Minister's advice.

The parliament's both houses convene at the Parliament House within the governmental Red Zone of Islamabad, the federal capital. Both houses of the parliament have their own separate chambers; and in case of a joint session, the National Assembly chamber is used.

About 80 percent of the members of the National Assembly (MNAs) are directly elected by the voting of citizens in single-member constituencies under first-past-the-post voting system; while about 20 percent are elected on seats reserved for women and religious minorities, in accordance with parliamentary standing of the respective political parties. The senators are elected by the members of all provincial assemblies (MPAs) by proportional representation, while four represent the federal capital. As of 2024, the parliament has a total strength of 432 with 336 members of the National Assembly (MNAs) and 96 senators.
